  Chester “Chip” Davis, Jr., JD, is the President and Chief Executive Office of HDA and President of the HDA Research Foundation. HDA is the national association representing pharmaceutical distributors — the vital link between the nation’s 1,400 manufacturers and nearly 330,000 sites of care. Mr. Davis oversees HDA’s day-to-day
  

  operations and is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s members have a strong advocacy voice in legislation, regulation and policy.

   

  Mr. Davis joined HDA in March 2020 from the Association of Accessible Medicines (AAM), the nation’s leading trade association for manufacturers of generic and biosimilar medicines, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Prior to AAM, Mr. Davis held leadership roles at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and AstraZeneca, where in 2007 he was recognized as one of the inaugural winners of the CEO Leadership Award.

   

  Mr. Davis earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

  Jody Hatcher is a visionary healthcare executive and the Chief Executive Officer of Morris & Dickson Co., LLC (M&D), the largest privately owned wholesale and specialty pharmaceutical distributor in the United States.

   

  When Jody joined M&D in April 2021, he made history as the first leader outside the founding family to helm the fifth-generation company. Under his strategic direction, M&D has experienced an explosive growth trajectory, nearly doubling its revenue from $3.6 billion to almost $7 billion today. He has successfully transformed the company from a regional pharmaceutical distributor into a national powerhouse, securing licensure in all 50 states, rapidly expanding specialty pharmaceutical and cold chain capabilities, and successfully penetrating new markets, including community clinics and infusion centers.

   

  A recognized voice in the industry, Jody currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) . In this role, he champions the critical role of distributors who form the vital network connecting pharmaceutical manufacturers with hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacies nationwide.

   

  Before joining M&D, he served as President of Supply Chain Services at Vizient, overseeing the performance improvement company’s acute, non-acute, pharmacy and 340B businesses . Prior to that, he spent eight highly successful years as President and CEO of Novation, where he more than doubled the company's growth before its integration into Vizient in 2016.

   

  Beyond his executive roles, Jody is an active industry advisor, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Pharma Logistics. His deep governance experience includes past board positions with SpendMend, PDI Healthcare, Cohealo, PartsSource, Inc., Provista, the Health Care Supply Chain Association and GHX .
