HDA Honors Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Leader Jane Kogut Keyser with DMA for Industry Leadership
March 11, 2024The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) honored Jane Kogut Keyser of Bristol Myers Squibb with the Distribution Management Award (DMA) for Industry Leadership at its annual Distribution Management Conference and Expo in Palm Desert, California.
Each year, the DMA for Industry Leadership recognizes an individual for their extraordinary contributions to the pharmaceutical distribution sector. Honorees go above and beyond to develop and elevate trading partner relationships while enhancing the knowledge base of the industry. Further, individuals actively participate within their company as well as HDA to advance industry relations and the state of the sector. Winners are selected by the HDA-member distributor and manufacturer executives of the association’s Industry Relations Council.
“On behalf of HDA, I am pleased to recognize Jane, who, for over 36 years, has been the face of Bristol Myers Squibb for the wholesale distribution industry,” said Perry Fri, Executive Vice President of Industry Relations and Member Services, HDA; and COO of the HDA Research Foundation. “Jane has always demonstrated a collaborative spirit in her work with HDA distributor members, and has spent her time in the industry advancing women’s leadership in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.”
Currently serving as the Executive Director of Trade and Specialty Pharmacy, Mrs. Kogut-Keyser has been with Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) since 1987. Over the years, she has held positions of increasing responsibility, focusing on consumer, generic and brand portfolios. In 1999, she joined the Trade team at BMS and has overseen launches, contracting, order management, inventory reporting, operational efficiencies, as well as distribution and dispensing strategies. Importantly, she has served as a liaison between BMS and trade customers — wholesalers, specialty distributors and pharmacies.
Mrs. Kogut Keyser’s career started at Lehigh Valley Hospital’s Pulmonary Function Lab, where she became interested in the pharmaceutical industry and decided to switch careers. She subsequently joined Gillette’s consumer operations in the Philadelphia area — a position that allowed her to work with HDA-member distributor companies.
An industry leader, Mrs. Kogut Keyser has been an active member of HDA since 2006. As part of her commitment to supporting and advancing women in the workforce, she was the Committee Chair of the Women's Executive Forum Advisory Board from 2016 to 2023 and a member of the Women's Executive Forum in 2013. Further, in 2016, Mrs. Kogut Keyser’s team was recognized by HDA members as a winner of the Distribution Industry Award for Notable Achievements (DIANA) in Healthcare.
Mrs. Kogut Keyser received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and holds an MBA from Temple University.
