Associate Director, Research and Strategy

Danielle Ekoma’s professional drive is fueled by her commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and efficacy, as well as shaping the future of health policy through innovative research and strategic leadership. As Associate Director of Research and Strategy for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), the national association representing primary healthcare distributors, she coordinates research projects, including conducting market analysis and tracking various risks to the healthcare supply chain. Ekoma delves into complex health issues impacting HDA members, working with a range of stakeholders, including government agencies and industry leaders, to ultimately drive the association’s strategic imperatives.

 

Before HDA, Ekoma was the Senior Manager of Research and Quality at the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, where she developed and disseminated clinical practice guidelines that helped in standardizing care protocols nationwide. She also managed key deliverables for research grantees and facilitated partnerships with national quality organizations. Furthermore, Danielle played a pivotal role in steering communications and coordinating stakeholder engagements within academic medicine during her tenure with the Liaison Committee on Medical Education at the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Danielle holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health and a Master of Science in Administration with a focus in health advocacy from Trinity Washington University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
