Ameer Ali is Sr. Director of Manufacturer Operations at Cencora. He joined Cencora in 2015 to support DSCSA related process implementations with responsibilities spanning both data exchange and barcode compliance as well as other non-DSCSA EDI and packaging functions. He participates regularly in industry groups to support process efficiency and best practices across the supply chain. These groups include HDA DSCSA exceptions, HDA Research Foundation, GS1 Rx Secure Supply Chain and GS1 GLN workgroups among others. He also took part in many industry pilots and FDA public meetings in preparation for phased implementation of DSCSA.

Chris has been with Cardinal Health since 1987 in Quality and Regulatory Affairs, at both the field and corporate levels, responsible for wholesale drug distribution compliance. Over the past ten years, he has built a quality system supporting the Pharmaceutical Distribution business.

Chris led the development of the current innovative and sustainable cold chain packaging process for Cardinal Health that has been recognized through the industry through various awards, speaking invitations and publications.

In his quality role, Chris has regulatory responsibility for the quality systems that support compliance, temperature management and DSCSA regulatory support.

Chris was a member of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Packaging and Distribution Expert Committee Member.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Norwich University in Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior.

Eric Andrews is an experienced supply chain professional with a dedication to pediatric healthcare. Eric is currently a supervisor, pharmaceutical supply chain at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where he focuses on inventory management informatics, supply chain efficiency, and compliance-related efforts.

After spending almost a decade working with various supply chains and seeing the emergence of the DSCSA, Eric knows what matters to dispensers and how to portray that upstream. He has worked extensively with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers to ensure optimal supply chain performance and advocate for dispensers.

Eric holds a BS in management information systems from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from The University of Missouri.

Cathy Barbic is an Associate Director of Supply Chain Projects and Compliance at Novo Nordisk Inc. Cathy is
responsible for managing and implementing supply chain initiatives in the US including compliance and traceability. Cathy was part of the initial lot traceability effort and co-managed the US serialization project to ensure compliance with the US Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements. Cathy works closely with US internal stakeholders, the Novo Nordisk Global Serialization program, solution providers, and trading partners to lead the continuing effort of compliance with DSCSA regulations. She also continues to be involved with various business areas and IT to find solutions to new challenges in serialization.

Cathy’s other responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams for new product launches and she is currently involved in many other company initiatives.

Cathy has worked for Novo Nordisk Inc. for 17 years. Prior to working in the pharmaceutical industry, Cathy
worked in the consumer products industry and was a management consultant leading Order to Cash teams implementing ERP systems.

Josh Bolin serves as the Associate Executive Director for Federal Affairs and Strategy for the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Since joining NABP in 2005, Josh has worked on development of PMP InterConnect, multiple pharmacy accreditation and inspection programs, including accreditation programs for durable medical equipment and specialty pharmacy, and inspection programs for the prescription drug supply chain, sterile and nonsterile compounding and nuclear pharmacy. Josh also worked with NABP’s member boards of pharmacy to develop NABP’s Universal Inspection form and Multistate Inspection Blueprint, which are tools to assist the boards of pharmacy in conducting uniform inspections of sterile compounding facilities. Josh is currently working with NABP member boards of pharmacy on uniform processes and tools with respect to the DSCSA.

Ron Bone is a consultant in the area of Pharmaceutical Traceability and is currently focusing on the implementation of the U.S. 2013 Drug Quality and Security Act. Ron retired from McKesson Corporation where he held the position of Senior Vice President, Distribution Support. His responsibilities included Regulatory Affairs and leading McKesson's product security initiatives through the use of electronic track and trace.

Ron spent 41 years with McKesson Corporation in various operations, sales and financial management positions. He was a member of the of the GS1 Process Oversight Committee, a member of the Leadership Teams of GS1 Global Healthcare and GS1 US Healthcare, and was a member of the Industry Relations Council for the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA). In 2008, Bone testified before the U.S. House of Representatives, Energy and Commerce Committee as an industry expert on anti-counterfeiting. In 2007, he was the recipient of HDMA’s Nexus Award, which is the industry’s highest honor recognizing leadership, exemplary service and professional excellence.

Ron received his BS and MBA degrees from San Jose State University.

Prior to returning to the company in 2003, Andrew was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan. He earned an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and an AB from Bowdoin College, where his academic performance was undistinguished and his athletic career was underwhelming.

Andrew is the chair of the American Trucking Associations and a member of the American Transportation Research Institute’s (ATRI) board of directors and of Northwestern University Transportation Center’s business advisory committee. He’s also a trustee of Eastern Bank and serves on boards and committees of several non-profit organizations including House of Hope and The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. After working in a gene-editing lab with CRISPR-cas9, Ananya Chadha developed a platform “that put genomic data on the blockchain,” allowing for anonymous uploading of genomic data to research data sets.

She has also developed various neurotech devices with sponsorship from Microsoft, like brain-controlled prosthetics, mind-controlled RC cars and MP3 players controlled with EEGs. Her brain-controlled RC car won the International Grand Prize at engineering.com's Impossible Science Challenge.

She has interned at ConsenSys, worked doing AI at IBM and the Canadian Military. Now an undergraduate student at Stanford University, she is studying neurotech engineering and finished an internship at Elon Musk's Neuralink. She also is a pilot, motorcycle license holder, and invests in startups.

Ananya won Top 29 Canadians by Refinery29, Developer 30 under 30 award, the Top 23 Women in Tech in Canada and Top 100 Most Powerful Women Canada.

She has been on the Daily Planet Show, CBC, Global News, advised companies like Wealthsimple, Morgan Stanley, and Zappos, and speaks at various conferences around the world.

Chris has spent the last 6 years working for the 340B Prime Vendor, Apexus, and is Director of the Prime Vendor Distribution Network consisting of 29 traditional, specialty and medical-surgical distributors. He has been a guest speaker at a number of industry conferences regarding 340B operations and implementation, and has served on the 340B University faculty. Chris is also a 340B Apexus Certified Expert (ACE).

Deedre Daniel founded The Interesting Conversations Company® to help people think creatively, LAUGH, and build stronger bonds with others. Before starting this business, she spent nearly two decades at GEICO, where she rose through the ranks from call center sales associate to head the Affinity Marketing division. Her team was responsible for the marketing strategy for members of over 800 organizations using a $50 million budget. As the director of that division, she was predominantly a "paid professional schmoozer" - attending hundreds of networking events for these organizations each year. She noticed most people struggled to make lasting connections with others at these events. This universal inability to connect inspired her to create a course called How to be More Interesting Than a Cell Phone®. (A book with the same title is coming out soon!) She invented The Very Interesting Game™ to go with the course. One version of the card game is for sale on Amazon.

When COVID-19 arrived, she turned her signature talk and the card game into a virtual experience for team building and remote networking events - helping others boost optimism and get closer despite social distancing. She served as the game show host for more than 100 virtual sessions for private events with players worldwide in under a year. The Very Interesting Game Show® recently received a registered trademark, too!

Deedre is a graduate of Florida Southern College and lives in Lakeland, Florida, with her husband, Robert, their dog, Spartacus, and her active imagination. When she isn't busy making life more interesting, she writes new cards for other versions of her game and works on the 501(c)(3) she founded called T he Big Fat Tip ®. This organization enlists volunteers' help to surprise people working in the service industry with $1,000+ tips. These are Random Acts of Kindness! Deedre has extensive experience speaking at conferences and training in corporate environments and has earned a reputation for having a wild and zany sense of humor. Chester “Chip” Davis, Jr., JD, is the President and Chief Executive Office of HDA and President of the HDA Research Foundation. HDA is the national association representing pharmaceutical distributors — the vital link between the nation’s 1,400 manufacturers and nearly 330,000 sites of care. Mr. Davis oversees HDA’s day-to-day
operations and is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s members have a strong advocacy voice in legislation, regulation and policy.

Mr. Davis joined HDA in March 2020 from the Association of Accessible Medicines (AAM), the nation’s leading trade association for manufacturers of generic and biosimilar medicines, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Prior to AAM, Mr. Davis held leadership roles at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and AstraZeneca, where in 2007 he was recognized as one of the
inaugural winners of the CEO Leadership Award.

Mr. Davis earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

As HDA’s Senior Vice President, State Government Affairs and Alliance Development, Matthew DiLoreto coordinates HDA's nationwide state government affairs efforts, while maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders as well as policymakers and law makers throughout the country. Matt also coordinates closely with HDA’s members to develop, implement and execute effective advocacy strategies addressing state legislative and regulatory issues affecting the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Prior to joining the HDA team, DiLoreto served as the Senior Director of State Government Affairs for the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), which represents the interests of nearly 20,000 pharmacy providers and owners nationwide. At NCPA he developed and executed the association’s state legislative strategy, while working closely with the organization’s many state and federal partners across the nation. DiLoreto also was a registered federal lobbyist and actively advanced many of NCPA's federal legislative and regulatory initiatives. During his years at NCPA, DiLoreto was responsible for supporting state efforts resulting in more than 50 enacted state laws based upon NCPA model state legislation. Such laws primarily focused on reforming pharmacy reimbursement and drug pricing practices, and on providing for a fair and accessible medication delivery marketplace.

Before moving to the Washington, D.C., area, Matt advocated for the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as the Director, Government Affairs and also represented the Pennsylvania Dental Association.

Anita T. Ducca is HDA’s Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. She serves as the chief liaison and advocate on behalf of HDA with federal regulatory agencies, including FDA and DEA. She has been with the organization since 2002. Prior to joining HDA, Ducca was the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the American Red Cross Biomedical Services (ARC), where she was responsible for internal and external regulatory, compliance and health and safety. Anita also served in a regulatory advocacy capacity for the American Petroleum Institute. Earlier, she has also served on the staff of several federal regulatory agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Office of Management and Budget and the Environmental Protection Agency. Ducca has a BA in Mathematics from Boston College and a MS in Biostatistics from Georgetown University.

Chuck Forsaith is the Vice President of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC), which offers supply chain security intelligence; access to contacts from industry, government, and vendor trade disciplines; as well as education opportunities to its membership. The Coalition, which Forsaith formed in 2006, brings together professionals from a wide variety of disciplines, to monitor the security of pharmaceutical goods in transit and storage, all over the world. The PCSC became part of HDA in 2017.
Forsaith has been involved in pharmaceutical supply chain security for more than 20 years, following a career as both a New Hampshire municipal and State Police officer. He also, directed security operations for a United States military intelligence gathering installation.

He has lectured both domestically and internationally in the disciplines of supply chain and site security for such organizations as the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency, United States Customs, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the Partnership for Safe Medicines, ASIS and TAPA. He is an active member of the American Society of Industrial Security, the Transported Asset Protection Association, the Overseas Security Advisory Council and the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.

Forsaith has either authored articles for, or been featured in articles published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the UK's London Times, Germany's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the Financial Times, Business Week, American Shipper, Security Info Watch, Life Science Reader, Security Technology Executive, Cargo Security International and Homeland Security Today.

Justine Freisleben is Vice President of Industry Relations at the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA). In this role she is responsible for the development and coordination of strategies, initiatives and projects to help healthcare distributors understand and use standards, emerging technologies and best practices to increase their efficiency and productivity in the movement of information and products throughout the healthcare supply chain. Additionally, she guides development of voluntary industry guidelines for implementing and maintaining technical standards related to product identification and electronic commerce ,and represents HDA on key work groups, particularly related to the development of standards and processes to support implementation of traceability.

Prior to this role she worked for a chemical trade association focusing on international trade advocacy and international regulatory compliance.

Justine holds a BA in government from Franklin and Marshall College and a MA/MBA from American University.

Kristen L. Freitas is HDA’s SVP, Federal Government Affairs and Alliance Development. She is responsible for federal legislative advocacy where she develops and maintains relationships with key congressional legislators and their staff, as well as conducts direct lobbying in support of association policies and positions. Kristen also is responsible for fostering relationships with supply chain stakeholders to develop alliances supporting safe and reliable healthcare distribution in the U.S. Further, Kristen oversees the HDA Political Action Committee (PAC) and grassroots activities.

Prior to joining HDA, Freitas worked as Manager, Government Affairs for PacifiCare Health Systems, and before that, for a specialty nursing association and for the National Association for Chain Drug Stores (NACDS). Prior to NACDS, she served as a Director of Outreach for a former Member of Congress.

She holds a degree in International Relations from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from George Mason University.

The SSC project team is delivering the Track & Trace and serialization requirements of the DSCSA. Gregg’s focus is currently on Manufacturer & Customer onboarding activities as well as DC activation for inbound scanning at receiving, returns, and exception handling while also sending outbound EPCIS messages to downstream trading partners.

Prior to AB, Gregg was the US Serialisation Lead at GSK leading the work on the DSCSA saleable returns project and developing GSK’s long-term solution for the DSCSA requirements in 2023. At GSK, Gregg held positions ranging from Analytics Reporting Manager in R&D Clinical Operations, Data Lead for the US SAP implementation, and Director of Data Quality in the Transparency Data Operations & Reporting team in Pharma Finance. Prior to GSK, Gregg worked for 6 years at Pfizer in Global Logistics & Supply in the Enterprise Data Management group focused on SAP Material Master.

Gregg has almost 25 years of experience in multiple Leadership & Senior Data roles in both the Pharmaceutical, Finance, and Software industries. Gregg holds an MBA in Management from Saint Joseph’s University’s Haub School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from Rider University. Devray Kirkland is vice president, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and chief diversity officer (CDO) for Cardinal Health, a global, integrated healthcare services and products company, providing customized solutions for hospitals, healthcare systems, pharmacies, ambulatory surgery centers, clinical laboratories and physician offices worldwide.

As CDO, Devray has led the development and implementation of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide diversity strategy through related programs, initiatives, and projects. He also provides direction to business segments on tactical programs and systems related to attracting, retaining, and promoting a diverse workforce. In partnership with the Cardinal Health Executive Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Council, Devray fosters critical dialogue and strategic counsel across the business to progress and sustain an inclusive work culture. He was integral in the formation of both the D&I Council and employee resource groups at Cardinal Health.

Devray joined Cardinal Health in 2012 as Director, Talent Management, for the company’s Medical segment. He also held the same position supporting the Pharmaceutical segment during his tenure.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Devray held numerous HR management and development roles with The Scotts Miracle-Gro company, L Brands (formerly Limited Brands), and Retail Ventures, Inc.

Rooted in community and servant leadership, Devray sits on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association of Central Ohio and the Board of Trustees for the Mount Carmel College of Nursing. He is a long-serving member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He has also volunteered his time as a youth football coach in Westerville, Ohio, and for Dublin Scioto High School.
Devray holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland, and bachelor’s degree in Zoology Management from
Howard University in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he holds multiple certifications for both HR and D&I.

Dr. Nicolette Louissaint serves as the Senior Vice President for Policy and Strategic Planning for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA). In this role, she leads HDA’s efforts to build policies and strategic approaches to bolster supply chain resilience and reinforce the role of healthcare distributors in the healthcare ecosystem.

She previously served as the Executive Director and President of Healthcare Ready, a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on strengthening the United States’ healthcare supply chain preparedness and response before, during and after natural disasters and disease pandemics. Under her leadership, Healthcare Ready strengthened its position as a facilitator and coordinator that improves our nation's ability to plan for and respond to threats that disrupt patient access to healthcare during crises, including COVID-19.

Prior to this, Dr. Louissaint served as the Senior Advisor to the U.S. Department of State’s Special Coordinator for Ebola during the height of the 2014 epidemic. In this role, she was responsible for coordinating international efforts and jumpstarted the diplomatic response to the epidemic. Earlier in her career, Nicolette served as a Foreign Affairs Officer in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs. As the lead officer for health intellectual property and trade issues, she developed on policies and strategies related to pharmaceutical counterfeiting, pharmaceutical trade, supply chain, climate change and other science and technology development issues.

Dr. Louissaint previously served on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Advisory Council in 2019 and chaired the Equity Working Group. Her current roles also include serving on Baltimore City’s Sustainability Commission, as a board member of Project HOPE, and as a Co-Chair of theHealthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Council. In 2020, Dr. Louissaint was named one of The Root 100 Most Influential African Americans.

She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, a PhD in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and an MBA from the University of Baltimore. She completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Johns Hopkins University and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

A proven risk manager and ethical strategist, Julie has maintained VDC’s accreditation status through the NABP Drug Distributor program. With the ability to synthesize complex policy and high velocity issues Julie has contributed to compliant business operations and profitability. She has been an active member at HDA serving on several committees including the Technology Implementation Work Group. With over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, she served on the budget and policy staff for former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, as well as an Executive Director for several state licensing boards within the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Dave Mason is currently the Director of Supply Chain compliance and Serialization – Dave supports the Commercial Trade and Supply Chain teams, supporting the implementation of DSCSA for the Novartis group. Leading efforts to assure Novartis error rates are six sigman or less by assuring procedures are in place for serialization data quality and integrity, improving existing serialization processes and systems as information is provided by supply chain partners on the DSCSA processes. Dave represents Novartis in trade association, PDG and FDA public meetings. He communicates to the NTO Global Serialization team with new and existing requirements for other countries, and he assures that the validation approach is consistent within the organization and execution at the sites. Dave also supports the team to develop to support serialization as it is integrated into the normal business processes. Scott Mooney is Vice President of Distribution Operations at McKesson Corporation. His primary responsibilities are assuring product integrity through regulatory compliance and traceability. Scott leads McKesson’s Traceability Team working on implementation across McKesson’s various business units.

Scott joined McKesson in 1987 and had previous roles in Finance, Distribution Center Management and as a Regional Vice President of Distribution Operations. Scott has participated in McKesson’s integration of acquisitions over the last 16 years.

Scott has been active in HDA’s Traceability Workgroup, the HDA Industry Relations Council and participates in several committees including the FGAC, RAC and SGAC. He is tri-chair of GS1 Global Healthcare Leadership Team and is a member of the GS1 US Healthcare Executive Leadership Committee.

Scott has a BA in Accountancy and a MBA from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.

Tracy Nasarenko, vice president of Community Engagement at GS1 US for Healthcare, is an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical supply chain, finance, product management, marketing, and operations.

In her current role, Ms. Nasarenko leads a collaborative healthcare industry group focused on addressing supply chain challenges and meeting the requirements of regulations like the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). Using GS1 Standards, the most widely used supply chain standards in the world, Ms. Nasarenko guides the implementation of these standards to help the pharmaceutical industry deliver safe products to patients.

Prior to joining GS1 US, Ms. Nasarenko held several leadership positions with SPI Pharma Inc. Most recently, she served as a site general manager, overseeing end-to-end operations and performance of the entire team, where she built a culture of engagement, innovation, and collaboration.

Ms. Nasarenko earned her bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and received her Master of Business Administration from West Chester University.

She is regulatory counsel to drug, cosmetic, dietary supplement and food clients with concerns before the Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and other federal agencies. Her work has encompassed representation of companies making and marketing human and animal prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, dietary supplements, and cosmetics. She has particular expertise in the areas of health care communications, advertising and labeling of FDA-regulated products. Further, she advises trade association clients on a range of antitrust and trade regulation issues.

Since November 2013, Tish has been heavily involved with implementation of the Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA). She has advised pharmacy compounders and outsourcing facilities on their new FDA responsibilities under Title I of the DQSA. She has worked closely with pharmaceutical supply chain stakeholders, including manufacturers, repackagers, and wholesale distributors, on implementation of Title II of the DQSA, the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

Tish is a regular participant in HDA activities, providing FDA regulatory and antitrust counsel to the Public Policy Council, the Traceability Implementation Work Group, the Regulatory Affairs Committee, the Returns Task Force, and other committees.

John Parker is a seasoned strategic communications and marketing professional with broad leadership experience and progressive management and operational responsibilities. Throughout his career, he has represented sectors from across the healthcare spectrum, while working for major trade associations and a Fortune 20 company. John has worked extensively with national and trade media to advance major public health and wellness initiatives, shaped the debate on the most pressing policy issues facing the country, and navigated through periods of crisis resulting from legislative and legal scrutiny. Notably, for the past decade, John has played a central role in how his organizations responded to health reform, the opioid crisis and COVID-19.

John currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), the national organization representing pharmaceutical distributors and the healthcare supply chain. Prior to joining HDA, John spent nearly a decade in communications leadership roles with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and UnitedHealth Group. His work in the health insurance industry was preceded by a stint at the Association of American Medical Colleges, where he served as the primary spokesperson with the media on key issues in academic medicine and managed the association's external publications. John’s initial exposure to communications was as an editor and reporter for one of the leading publishers of trade newsletters following FDA and its regulation of the drug and device industries and NIH.

John serves on the Board of Directors of the Arlington Free Clinic, an organization in northern Virginia dedicated to providing healthcare services to uninsured and underinsured adults.

Courtney provides incident response support for Healthcare Ready’s emergency activations, and has supported the organization’s response to many major events including Hurricane Florence, the Carr Fire, Hurricane Ida, and COVID-19.

Before joining Healthcare Ready, Courtney worked with the World Resources Institute’s Initiative 20×20 to promote the business case for landscape restoration in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to this, she researched the environmental effects, economic trends, and regulatory framework of enhanced oil recovery as a Graduate Consultant for the NGO Clean Water Action.

As the Healthcare Distribution Alliance’s (HDA) Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Farah serves as primary content strategist, executive speechwriter, media spokesperson and editor-in-chief for the national association representing healthcare distributors. HDA members are the vital link between 1,400 manufacturers and nearly 330,000 providers, delivering more than 11 million medicines and healthcare products safely and reliably each day.

Since joining HDA in 2008, Farah has led numerous communications and marketing programs across the association, including the rebranding of HDA, the launch of the organization’s award-winning Health Delivered campaign and Allied Against Opioid Abuse initiative. She is a trusted advisor with the proven ability to lead teams under pressure, on deadline and through crisis.

Farah is passionate about communicating to audiences across a range of mediums.Most recently, she has directed efforts to spotlight the distribution industry’s value proposition through enhanced storytelling and member engagement. Over the past few years, she has covered HDA members' response to the COVID-19 crisis as well as launched the association’s Faces of the Supply Chain video series. Mr. Matthew J. Strait is a 20 year veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). His contributions to the DEA spans several regulatory roles specifically relating to entities authorized to possess controlled substances, currently surpassing 1.85 million nationwide. These roles include such activities as: importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, prescribing, and dispensing.

Since 2017, Mr. Strait serves as chief policy advisor for the Diversion Control Division. He is the senior advisor to the Assistant Administrator on a broad range of policy issues impacting the DEA’s vast registrant population.

From 2015 - 2017, Mr. Strait directed day-to-day operations of DEA’s Congressional Affairs Section. The section responsible for assistance to the United States Congress on comprehensive legislation action. From 2009 to 2015, Mr. Strait served in the Congressional Affairs Section as a liaison where he worked to address important policy goals, including: drug disposal, synthetic drugs, anabolic steroids, quotas, and access to controlled substances by emergency medical professionals.

From 2004 - 2009, Mr. Strait served as the Unit Chief of DEA’s Quota and UN Reporting Unit. The unit responsible for oversight and adjudication of quota applications filed by DEA-registered manufacturers of schedule I and II controlled substances. Prior to 2004, Mr. Strait served as a Drug Science Specialist in the DEA’s Drug and Chemical Evaluation Section. This section began his DEA career in 1999 and where he fulfilled many of DEA’s reporting obligations pursuant to various United Nations’ treaties.

Mr. Strait graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Virginia Tech with both a Bachelor (’95) and Master of Science (’97) degrees.

Stephanie Trunk is a partner in the Health Law Group at Arent Fox LLP in Washington, D.C. Ms. Trunk counsels pharmaceutical and device manufacturers, distributors and their customers on regulatory, reimbursement and compliance matters. Her practice extends to counseling on drug pricing and government price reporting, HIPAA and privacy matters, counseling on Medicare Part D, developing corporate compliance programs, representing clients in contract negotiations and providing transactional support to her clients.

Prior to joining Arent Fox LLP, Ms. Trunk was in-house counsel to a pharmacy benefit management company. Ms. Trunk is the author of numerous chapters in health law treatises including a chapter on Controlling Fraud, Waste and Abuse in the Medicare Part D Program in the ABA/BNA's Health Care Fraud and Abuse: Practical Perspectives.

She received a JD with Highest Honors from the George Washington University Law School in 2003. Ms. Trunk also has a graduate certificate in health management from the George Washington University School of Public Health (2003) and she received a BS in Accounting Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland in 1997.

Elizabeth Waldorf is Director of Global Traceability and Standards at TraceLink. She is responsible for transforming global regulatory serialization and traceability regulations into product requirements for TraceLink’s portfolio of track and trace solutions. Elizabeth is a key contributor to TraceLink’s delivery of US, Brazil, China, South Korea, EU, Russia, India, Bahrain, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan government compliance modules. Elizabeth is focused on transforming country regulations into standardized models for traceability implementations.

Starting before the US DSCSA regulation was passed, Elizabeth has been driving pharmaceutical compliance at the state level. Her effort has continued through the passing of the US DSCSA regulation to the present day. A believer in achieving interoperability and operational efficiency through standards, Elizabeth’s editorial contributions include the following guidelines: “GS1 US Implementation Guideline for Applying GS1 Standards for DSCSA and Traceability (release 1.2)”, “GS1 US Implementation Guideline for the GS1 Lightweight Messaging Standard for Verification of Product Identifiers (releases 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2)”, and “GS1 US Applying GS1 System of Standards to Pharmaceutical Chain of Custody (releases 1.0 and 1.1)”. With a vigilant eye towards accelerating onboarding of trading partners for DSCSA message exchanges using EPCIS, Elizabeth collaborated to develop the GS1 US Rx EPCIS Conformance Testing Program. Committed to industry pharmaceutical compliance readiness, she is working towards the development of future releases of implementation guidelines to reflect evolved requirements and learnings.

With a passion for thought leadership, Elizabeth joined the GS1 US Healthcare Executive Leadership team and has taken on various leadership roles spanning GS1 US and GS1 Global. She currently co-chairs the GS1 US Rx Secure Supply Chain workgroup and GS1 EPICS/CBV 2.0 MWSG. As a member of GS1 Architecture team, Elizabeth serves as the GS1 Architecture liaison to GS1 Mission Specific Workgroups for EPICS/CBV 2.0, Pharmaceutical Clinical Trial Processes and Biological Samples. Elizabeth previously co-chaired the GS1 Brazil Traceability, Global Traceability Standard, and the GS1 Lightweight Messaging Standard workgroups.

Elizabeth is also an active leader in other industry and standards organizations including Partnership for DSCSA Governance (PDG), Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) and serves as tri-chair of the Open Credentialing Initiative (OCI)’s Policy and Architecture team. She brings together her multi-discipline experience to advance and accelerate the delivery of specifications and adoption of interoperable standards. Before joining TraceLink, Elizabeth led Amgen’s global serialization and traceability initiatives, and drove adoption of GS1 standards across the company. In her 20-year tenure at Amgen, Elizabeth held numerous senior leadership roles managing cross functional teams in Global Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Enterprise Architecture, and Finance. Her leadership style and operational excellence mindset combined with business and information systems background have resulted in many successful implementations of process re-engineering and automation initiatives.

Andrew Wilson is Vice President for 340B Solutions with McKesson. He is responsible for guiding and coordinating McKesson 340B strategy and business oversight.

Andy has over 25 years of healthcare operations experience as a pharmacy leader in academic medical centers and integrated health systems. He has extensive 340B experience and has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access (now 340B Health) and as Chair of the Hospital Advisory Board of the 340B Prime Vendor Program (Apexus).

Andy is the author of over 60 articles, book chapters and editorials in the medical and pharmacy literature including Financial Management for Health–System Pharmacists (2008). He has spent the past ten years leading consulting teams providing pharmacy management, operations and financial advisory services with a focus on 340B.

Heather Zenk, R.Ph., PharmD., is President of the US Supply Chain, Cencora. In this role, she has responsibly for the entire distribution network of human and animal health products, as well as developing and implementing traceability business processes and technology that will enhance patient safety, further secure the pharmaceutical supply chain, and create broader service offerings to manufacturer partners and Cencora customers. In addition, Heather also manages customer support, business enablement efforts, in addition to replenishment and manufacturer operations covering manufacturer programs and data.

Heather’s combination of operational skills and business acumen uniquely positioned her to lead Cencora’s COVID-19 response team. In this capacity, she served as a vital resource to our associates, hospital systems and dispenser customers, as well as our manufacturer partners helping them navigate the complexities that COVID-19 brought to the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Heather has 20 years of pharmacy, procurement, distribution, and supply chain experience, which she has utilized in her career at Cencora including that of SVP, Replenishment and Manufacturer Operations, Vice President, Distribution Center Manager at the Chicago Distribution Center, SAP business liaison; and running operations at the Canadian Distribution network.

Heather received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN, and a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota.
