Get ready for West Coast sunsets! This year's Annual Board and Membership Meeting will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Resort on California's golden coast!
HDA has negotiated a special room block specifically for our event attendees at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Resort. All conference attendees should make every effort to stay at the official event hotel. Reserving your room through our official hotel room block allows the HDA staff to resolve any hotel reservation disputes, ensure attendees receive all applicable discounts and materials, maximize their conference experience and assist HDA in maintaining affordable, quality programming.

Here, you can escape to the tranquility of two beaches, three infinity edge pools and a 42,000-sq-ft spa. Room rates are $445 per night (single/double occupancy) plus taxes. The resort fee is $40/night.
The resort fee includes: daily one hour access to private, professional grade clay tennis courts, including rackets, tennis ball machine use and 30 minute tennis clinic with pro (2 people); daily water aerobics classes for 2 people, including water aerobics equipment, Ambassadors of the Environment Guided Echohike Tour (2 people); daily bike rental for 2 people, max 2 hours per day; guided beach walk; Press Reader, an easy-to-use app offering unlimited access to your favorite newspapers and magazines; daily one-hour Yoga class for 2 people, inclusive of mat; 24-hour parking with in/out privileges, Fitness Center (including select classes), coffee service in room, bottled waters in room daily and turndown service nightly.
Reservations will require a credit card and a deposit for one room night. Reservations at the group rate are available on a first-come, first-served basis until Monday, August 12, 2024. After this date, the hotel will only accept reservations at the HDA group rate based on space and rate availability. Make changes or cancellations directly with the hotel. Deposits will be refunded for rooms cancelled more than seven days prior to arrival.
We highly recommend you secure a hotel room prior to booking travel.
All changes and cancellations should be communicated directly to the hotel. Rooms cancelled less than seven days from the scheduled arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of one night, plus applicable taxes. Early departures and no-shows will be treated as cancellations and charged according to this policy.
Parking is included in the resort fee.
