ARLINGTON, Va. — Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) President and CEO Chester "Chip" Davis, Jr., released the following statement regarding the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and supplies through Operation Warp Speed.
"HDA applauds the federal government’s decision to leverage the logistics expertise of our members to ensure that COVID-19 vaccines, once approved, will be distributed safely and efficiently to point-of-care sites across the country. Today’s announcement strongly reaffirms the importance of public-private collaboration and the critical role it has played, and will continue to do so, in our nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) represents primary pharmaceutical distributors — the vital link between the nation’s pharmaceutical manufacturers and pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and others nationwide.
